Age: 30-39
Wendy Boyd
breast cancer
stage four

I have been battling breast cancer for almost 6 years and have had several recurrences, some life threatening. I have been on several treatments and have had a stem cell transplant. I am now on weekly Taxol and Herceptin. In December of 2002 I had a tumor remove the size of a tennis ball from my brain. But I never have given up hope. God has some how given me the strength to handle anything that has come my way and I have experienced many miracles. I believe in power of hope that we pass to one another. My community has supported me and my family and that has given us so much hope. We are never alone if we believe in the power of God. I'd like to think that I am a thriver instead of a survivor!
