Age: 60 over
Ama Lee Myrick
breast cancer
stage two
Just would like to know at my age 67 what to expect. I had a biopsy Sept.
8, 2000 (lump removal, 2cm stage 2 infiltrating ductal carcinoma). On
Sept.24th, I had another wider margin, and axillary lymph node, 1 of 15
was positive. October 13th, I'm in chemo. treatment for six
months (to be followed by radiation). Today, I had my first treatment
-- so far only a stinging sensation in the top of my head and some sneezing.
Both just a short period and that’s suppose to be a normal thing that
does happen. I would like to research the med's and blood counts. Med's
are Cytoxan Neosor and Adriamycin started with full dosage, and will adjust
to what is needed. Maybe this will be a start, hope you can understand
my needs to help me understand all this, the Dr. and nurses do tell us
all these things but if I have more help with this it would be truly appreciated.
