40-49
Theresa
breast cancer
stage three

I was diagnosed for Grade 4 carcinoma in situ of my milk ducts. I had my breast removed in June 1999. Taking Tamoxifin twice daily. Passed my one year anniversary and thought that I was doing ok. Then BAM!,I broke a rib coughing and on the x-ray they found some spots. I had all the usual tests that didn’t involve touching the lung itself. I have severe COPD, so if they tried to do a scope or biopsy it could collapse my lung or kill me. I go for more cat scans in a few weeks to see what the spots are doing now. They found them last August, 2000. I was already being treated for depression and anxiety before the breast cancer showed up. I still get deeply depressed and it scares me to think what I might feel like if I didn’t have my Paxil. I don’t know if this was what you wanted me to write and if not, I’m sorry.
