stage one

I was only 27 when I was diagnosed with malignant bone cancer. Professionally, I am a doctor.  It was the worst day of my life when I was told about it and worst of all I knew everything about it.  My first spontaneous words were why me. But now I understand because GOD wanted me to have extra special qualities after going through it, and I know he loves me more. When I was diagnosed as suffering from bone cancer my father was going through open heart surgery in some other city.  I want through it accompanied by my best pals, but no one from my family.  Well, when GOD tests you he comforts you as well.  Maybe not at that very MOMENT but afterwards. I was the lucky one that was diagnosed in the first stages, but I know my cancer is otorious as far as survival chances are concerned. Soon after my diagnosis I was given chemotherapy, after every 3 weeks I was given chemotherapy. I still remember it clearly after my 7th treatment my surgery was planned, and so I went through it as well, and due to it my left shoulder is totally resected, as my cancer was on it. The most miraculous happening was when my post- operative specimen was sent to laboratory for the cancer status at that stage they could not find a single tumor cell in it, even after repeated sampling processes from the removed shoulder. Though the tumor was quite big a month and half back. Even after this I was given 6 more heavy dose chemotherapy  and 25 cycles of radiations. In between I went through terrible times including severe body aches, vomiting, depressions, frustrations, lack of interest in life, etc. I think one has to except one thing for sure that you never know what GOD has hidden for in the future for you and is this life really finished for you or is it requiring something else from you. Rather being thankless to HIM I find myself more closer to HIM than anybody else and I love HIM stronger than before as well. I think during my crucial days my parents love and my best friends support was the most important thing which drove me through it ………after GOD, of course!!!
