GILLETTE & THE COMMUNITY The Gillette Company has a long and proud tradition of corporate social responsibility. For a global leader like Gillette, this has meant reaching beyond the workplace, through corporate contributions and employee involvement, to improve our communities. Over the years, the Company's efforts have involved many initiatives around the world, including:
- School renovations for kindergarten children in Santiago, Chile
- Literacy programs for young people in South Boston, Massachusetts
- A swimming club for the disabled in County Kildare, Ireland
- Disaster relief for earthquake victims in Turkey
- Donations of personal care products to survivors of floods in the Midwest of the United States
