The best thing you can do for your friends is to stop and think about how you are willing to help. You know your friend and what her needs are. Having you there listening and sharing is probably doing more for her than you realize.

There are many ways you can help a coworker who has been diagnosed with cancer. But most of those ways will depend upon your relationship with that person.

One of the most important points to remember is that there is no timeline when it comes to emotional recovery. Long after people think a woman's fears and concerns about her cancer should be over, they are not. Understand what she may be going through. She will need your support on an ongoing basis -- from this day forward.
